OMMADON + LEGION OF ANDROMEDA UK TOUR 2016
We are taking the heavy drone-doom on the road again in June/July 2016. This time we join forces with the relentlessly primitive sludge of LEGION OF ANDROMEDA (Japan) to demolish decaying urban centres across England and Scotland. To commemorate this destructive
occasion, AT WAR WITH FALSE NOISE are releasing a
tour-exclusive, full-length split CD, 'Crumbling Existence' (mastered by James Plotkin). This will include one mesmerising 36 minute journey into darkness from Ommadon ('Fundamentalist Drone') and three new pummelling hammers to the face from Legion of Andromeda.
This is going to be heavy.

EMPATHY FOR THE WICKED
We have new vinyl and more heaviness to offer. Empathy for the Wicked is now available for order HERE from our good friend Golden Mantra. You can hear the entire beast at our bandcamp page (PWYW download). Empathy for the Wicked is our first release recorded live on an industrial estate in urban Northumberland encircled by the dregs of humanity. The first track was originally recorded for the cassette split with Horse Latitudes and Coltsblood which we played each night on our 2014 tour. During that session, we continued recording through the night and droned out the riff which became the second side to Empathy for the Wicked.
"As heavy as it gets...the prefect balance between noisy, gritty atmosphere and murderous sonic rampage...like meditation, but for all things evil"
The Sludgelord
"Ommadon are cartographing the surface of a dark, dark planet that the sun is unable to reach. They really take their time to construct their music, with the resulting sonic walls capable of sucking out all light"
Cvlt Nation
"When it's over, you feel as if you've experienced something supernatural; like you have seen things which you didn't think you could see, all through your ears. Almost as if mud pools could make music. Fantastic."
Echoes and Dust
"The lowness, the heaviness, and the all-round vibrations captivate you and suck you in. If black holes were music, this is probably what they would sound like.
Exclaim
"...like SunnO))) covering Iron Monkey..."

OMMADON I-IV TAPE DISCOGRAPHY
Ommadon's first 4 releases were recorded all live and alone in the forest before we chose to play for an audience. These riffs and memories have now been enshrined in wood and branded with fire thanks to Tartarus Records and Witches on Fire Records.
The I-IV Tape Discography is now available for pre-order HERE. 180 minutes of raw, heavy doom encased in a completely handmade wooden box. This includes a back-patch designed using broken tree branches and loosened moss and lichen from the forest where we were spawned. Keep it heavy.

2015
2015 will be a step in to new territory for us. We will be releasing our first recordings since leaving the Hillhead of Rannas. These have been recorded by ourselves in an industrial warehouse in urban Tyne and Wear. They are our heaviest recordings yet.
Empathy for the Wicked 12" will be released in the first half of the year. More info to come soon.
VI will be mastered and released on vinyl by the end of the year.
We'll also have a tape discography (I-IV) in hand-crafted wooden boxes released by Tartarus Records very soon.
For gigs, we'll be lucky enough to play with Noothgrush, Primitive Man, Headless Kross, Wizard's Beard, Sea Bastard, and Voe.
Finally, we'll record a new album. This is already sounding slower than ever, heavier than ever, and more apocalyptic than ever.
Keep it heavy,
Ommadon.
Highlights of 2014
Ommadon's highlights of 2014....
V on vinyl. Eternal gratitude to Burning World Records/Roadburn Records, Domestic Genocide Records, and Dry Cough Records for inscribing this chapter of our riffing lives for perpetuity on wax.
Touring with Horse Latitudes and Coltsblood and getting to see them play music we love every night.
Meeting people who are fully committed to the riff and the death of the hipster (particular shout outs to Pisschrist Promotions and Aberdoomed Promotions).
2014 also saw us say a final and sorrowful farewell to the Hillhead of Rannas, our forest lair where I-V were recorded. 2015 will be an entirely new chapter but we guarantee it will not disappoint.
Keep it heavy,
Ommadon.

OMMADON V
Ommadon continue their quest to achieve sonic annihilation of the self in their perpetual quest for heaviness with V. V is available now on 180 gram double gatefold vinyl, limited to 300 copies, from Burning World Records / RoadburnRecords in The Netherlands, Dry Cough Records in the UK, and Domestic Genocide Records in the USA.
V was played and recorded entirely live by Ommadon on the Hill of Maud in the Scottish Highlands over the winter of 2012/13. It was mastered by Billy Anderson (Eyehategod, Sleep, High on Fire). Listen to V here.
V is now available to buy now from:
“You can bet your
favourite Sunn O))) picture disc on this thing sounding heavier than a dying
planet.” Terrorizer
“I love this album because
it’s so preposterously barbaric and for such an extended period of time and
it’s beyond excessive. It’s an absolute endurance
test, and by the end of it I was not the same as I’d come into it. There aren't
a lot of albums you can say that about.”
Sludgelord
“Ommadon categorically prove that it is still
possible to make compelling music within the field of drone-doom, an area that
I personally had considered long since mined dry.” The Sleeping Shaman
"Ommadon's V has more in common with the harsh, acidic fuzz of Conan, and Earth's early work, but much, much more abrasive" Blog of Putrefaction
"Listening to the two 45-minute tracks on V is like trying to imagine your own burial under the Himalayas" Echoes and Dust
We cannot thank Andrew, Jurgen, and Trevor enough for
putting the beast on wax.
