OMMADON
Ommadon is self-titled because this
is what we set out to be from the beginning. This is not entertainment. This is
not easy listening. Ommadon is pure and primitive
heaviness. Ommadon is the outcast, the fallen angel, the darkness. Ommadon is
the darkness which we are told to fear, to avert our eyes and cower from, to
candy coat the suffering, the decay, and the death which give life meaning. Ommadon
is the intolerable agony, the paralysing misery, and the stifling alienation,
which make us who we are.
Ommadon does not submit to the simplification of the
horror and the beauty of existence into a world of positivity and negativity
where we feel nothing but simulations of what happiness could be like or terror
that sadness may disrupt our mass stupor. Ommadon embraces the dark, not as a manufactured
rebellion or infantile inversion of stories of good and evil to which we must
submit ourselves. Ommadon allows us to reinvent ourselves by destroying what we
believe we hold dear but which only slows our steps. Ommadon is for those who
know that in fearing death, one fears life, sleepwalking through life, waiting
to die.
Ommadon is for those who know that only in facing and loving death can
you live freely. Ommadon is the world and the world is Ommadon.

The End of 2015
2015 saw Tartarus Records chart our
early journeys into heavy drone with the I-IV Tape Discography while GoldenMantra released an entirely new chapter, Empathy for the Wicked. We played with
some like-minded bands who crushed our minds, especially Bismuth, Noothgrush,
and Primitive Man.
In 2016, we will continue the voyage
into darkness and release Ommadon, our heaviest and most disturbing offering
yet. We will also tour with two of the most horrible of bands.
Face death, never fear life. Have a
very heavy Hogmanay.

EMPATHY FOR THE WICKED
Empathy for the Wicked is our first release recorded live on an industrial estate in urban Northumberland encircled by the dregs of humanity. The first track was originally recorded for the cassette split with Horse Latitudes and Coltsblood which we played each night on our 2014 tour. During that session, we continued recording through the night and droned out the riff which became the second side to Empathy for the Wicked.
Mastered by Billy Anderson

Empathy for the Wicked is available for order HERE from Golden Mantra.
You can hear the entire beast at our Bandcamp page (PWYW download).

"As heavy as it gets...the prefect balance between noisy, gritty atmosphere and murderous sonic rampage...like meditation, but for all things evil"
The Sludgelord
"Ommadon are cartographing the surface of a dark, dark planet that the sun is unable to reach. They really take their time to construct their music, with the resulting sonic walls capable of sucking out all light"
Cvlt Nation
"When it's over, you feel as if you've experienced something supernatural; like you have seen things which you didn't think you could see, all through your ears. Almost as if mud pools could make music. Fantastic."
Echoes and Dust
"The lowness, the heaviness, and the all-round vibrations captivate you and suck you in. If black holes were music, this is probably what they would sound like.

OMMADON I-IV TAPE DISCOGRAPHY
Ommadon's first 4 releases were recorded all live and alone in the forest before we chose to play for an audience. These riffs and memories have now been enshrined in wood and branded with fire thanks to Tartarus Records and Witches on Fire Records.
The I-IV Tape Discography is now available for pre-order HERE. 180 minutes of raw, heavy doom encased in a completely handmade wooden box. This includes a back-patch designed using broken tree branches and loosened moss and lichen from the forest where we were spawned. Keep it heavy.
